CNN Commentator Says Biden-Harris Admin Ran America “Off Into A Ditch”

In an absolutely wild (for CNN) admission, CNN political commentator Scott Jennings sounded off on the actions and policies of the Biden-Harris Administration, saying that their policies ran America “into a ditch” and that it is now quite impossible to “leave the same people in charge.” Jennings was formerly the special assistant to former President George W. Bush and was also Bush’s deputy director of political affairs.

Jennings’ comments were sparked by Kamala Harris’ acceptance speech on the last night, Thursday, of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, during which she again focused far more on attacking her political opponents and enemies, namely former President Donald Trump, rather than explaining why things have gone so poorly under her current leadership and how she will fix those issues.

Jennings said, “What she did not do is take any amount of responsibility for her current job, which is Vice-President of the United States for the last three and a half years under Joe Biden. There was not an ounce of humility about the inflation gripping the country. She talked about immigration without talking about all the things that happened right up until this border bill that they had hung all their hats on over at the Biden White House.”

Continuing, Jennings called out what he characterized as mere platitudes from Kamala, saying that voters wouldn’t accept vague generalities when she has been part of the administration that has sent the country in the wrong direction. He said, “So to me, where the Republicans are going to be headed is all the pablum, all the platitudes, all that aside, you cannot leave the same people in charge.”

Next, he noted that people want answers and fixes, not platitudes, so Trump is benefiting from her current stance. He said, “If you believe the country is on the wrong track, if you believe they made all the mistakes on the economy and on immigration, you cannot leave the same people in charge that have run the country off into the ditch. Until she comes up with a good answer for that, which I suspect will have to be litigated at the debate on September 10, Donald Trump is still in a very good position.”

Chiming in, a fellow CNN commentator Kate Bedingfield, a former White House Communications Director in the Biden administration, snapped, “The country wants to see change. She’s embracing that.” Jennings wasn’t having it. He replied, “If the people walk into the voting booth and say, ‘Who gave me better results, Trump or Biden and Harris? Would you take that right now? Would you take that bet?”

Continuing, he noted that the Biden team claimed to be the “adults in the room” but then were disastrously bad for America, saying, “I think people have looked back over the whole thing and said, my God, we traded in somebody who gave us a good economy for somebody who claimed to be the adults in the room, and they never acted like adults one time.”

Later on, he noted, “The last time the Biden-Harris team showed up and told you the adults are now back in the room, everything they did from that point forward proved that they were not. Whether it was on Afghanistan, whether it was on the economy, whether it was on the border, they told you the competent, moderate, dealmaking adults were back, just like she’s arguing right now, and it was a total lie. They could not deliver on it.”

Then, noting that the Trump Administration and its former members have the stellar Trump economy and low Trump inflation to rely on, Jennings noted, “And when I was in office, yes, maybe you don’t like some of the stuff I say, but you had money in your pocket, the border was secure, America was respected around the world.”
