2024 will be Donald Trump’s last time running in an election.
In an interview on the “Full Measure” TV show on Sunday, 78-year-old Trump said he was unlikely to run for office in the next election.
“No, I don’t. I think that will be it. I don’t see that at all,” he said. The former president would be 82 if he were to run for the 2028 election.
President Joe Biden’s age raised concerns amongst members of the Democratic party about whether the 81-year-old was fit to run for a second term.
Biden stepped aside earlier this year, after he faced growing calls from within his own party to leave the race following his weak performance in June’s TV debate against Trump.
On Saturday, Trump held a rally in North Carolina, claiming he would be a better champion for women than Vice President Kamala Harris, who is vying to become the first female president.
In his first outdoor rally since the second apparent attempt to assassinate him, he argued women would be safer with him as president and would “no longer be thinking about abortion.”
“I will protect women at a level never seen before. They will finally be healthy, hopeful, safe and secure,” Trump said.
“Their lives will be happy, beautiful, and their lives will be great again. So women, we love you. We’re going to take care of you.”
Trump declined to debate Harris again in October.
The former president said women won’t have to think about abortion because decisions about regulating it are now left to the states. Many Republican-led states have taken steps to restrict or eliminate abortion access after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade in 2022.
Meanwhile, Harris accepted an invitation from CNN on Saturday to debate Trump on October 23.
But the former president said it was “too late” for another debate. “I’ve already done two,” Trump said.

Donald Trump hawks $100 Trump Coins showing his ‘very beautiful face’ in new cash grab
Trump is selling the coins (right) for $100 each.
Donald Trump has announced the launch of new $100 silver coins which feature his “very beautiful face,” as he continues campaigning ahead of the November election.
In a promotional video for the so-called “Trump Coins,” the Republican presidential candidate told his supporters that the silver medallions were “a true symbol of American greatness.”
“This beautiful, limited-edition coin commemorates our movement, our fight for freedom, prosperity and putting America first,” Trump said.
“It’s more than just a collector’s item, it’s a testament to the resilience and strength of the American people, our American patriots that we love so much.”
Trump designed the silver coins, which feature his face on one side and the White House on the other.
“I’ve seen a lot of coins using my very beautiful face, very beautiful guy. I’m only kidding,” he said. “But they are not the official coin.”
The video included a link to sign up for a waitlist for the coin’s release next week. It marks Trump’s latest commercial venture on the campaign trail.
In March, he was criticized for selling $60 bibles, which were promoted as “the only Bible endorsed by President Trump.”
Dubbed the “God Bless the USA Bible,” it included a King James Version translation, copies of the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence.
In February, he debuted a new line of Trump-branded sneakers, including $400 gold “Never Surrender High-Tops.”
Trump has also dabbled in NFTs, and reported earning between $100,000 and $1 million last year from digital trading cards that portrayed him in cartoon-like images.
