Kamala Harris ripped as ‘pathetic’ for choosing first one-on-one interview with MSNBC host who defended her dodging the press

Kamala Harris is finally sitting down for her first major one-on-one interview since becoming the Democratic presidential candidate – with an MSNBC host who vehemently defended her strategy of dodging the press.

The vice president’s decision to appear for a pre-recorded, solo conversation with Stephanie Ruhle on Wednesday night sparked widespread mockery and claims she won’t be asked any serious questions before the election.

The news sparked an immediate reaction from former Donald Trump’s running mate Sen. JD Vance.

This is legitimately pathetic for a person who wants to be president,’ he wrote. ‘Ruhle has explicitly endorsed Harris. She won’t ask hard questions.’

Ruhle sparked fury from MAGA supporters over the weekend after she went on Bill Maher’s HBO show, called Donald Trump a ‘threat to Democracy’ and defended Harris as ‘not perfect’

Trump responded by calling Ruhle ‘dumb as a rock’ and a ‘bimbo’ in a scathing Truth Social post.

During an appearance on HBO’s Real Time With Bill Maher on Friday, Rule defended Harris for dodging interviews and avoiding specific questions.

New York Times columnist Bret Stephens said that before he voted for Harris, she should sit down and answer serious questions from journalists.

‘I don’t think it’s a lot to ask her to sit down for a real interview as opposed to a puff piece, which she describes, like her, her feelings of growing up in Oakland with nice lawns,’ he grumbled, sparking outrage from Ruhle.

‘I would just say to that, when you move to Nirvana, give me your real estate broker’s number and I’ll be your next door neighbor,’ she said mockingly. ‘We don’t live there.’

Ruhle said that voters knew enough about Trump to vote for Harris, despite her lack of interviews, and that it was an easy choice without hearing more about her

‘Kamala Harris isn’t running for perfect. She’s running against Trump,’ she said. ‘We have two choices. And so there are some things you might not know her answer to. And in 2024, unlike 2016, for a lot of the American people, we know exactly what Trump will do, who he is and the kind of threat he is to democracy.’

Ruhle is a supporter of Harris, even taking to social media to berate Republicans for pronouncing her name wrong.

‘Good news for Sen. David Perdue, he no longer has to struggle with the pronunciation of Kamala Harris’s name,’ she wrote after the 2020 presidential election. ‘I’m confident he knows how to say Madame Vice President.’

Ruhle’s appearance on Bill Maher’s show sparked a reaction from former President Donald Trump, who described her as a ‘dumb as a rock bimbo.’

The interview airs Thursday night at 7:00 p.m. EST.

The View fans all notice the same small outfit detail as Joe Biden jogs into the studio

President Joe Biden made a statement with his outfit as he walked into The View‘s stage and did a little jog.

Biden, 81, showed his support for Ukraine by sporting a pin showing the US and Ukrainian flags side by side.

The Democrat was given a standing ovation by the hosts and audience of the ABC talk show on Wednesday.

But many viewers were angered by Biden’s pin choice, accusing the president of putting foreign interests above those of America.

The right-wing outlet Townhall.com noted the pin on X, writing: ‘Joe Biden is sporting a Ukraine flag pin on “The View.”‘

An X user supported Biden’s Ukraine statement in a comment under the outlet’s post, writing: ‘Yes, and? Ukraine is our ally, unlike the MAGA Republicans in Congress.’

But other X users took issue with the president’s decision to wear the pin, claiming his administration puts too much focus on Ukraine following Russia’s invasion.

One person wrote: ‘Biden goes on the sitcom The View wearing a joined US/Ukraine flag pin. Where is his Israel/US pin? As an American I’m sickened by the Biden Harris administration’s unfair hate for some of our allies and even more disgusting by their hate and disregard for half of America’s citizens and for the United States and all this country stands for.’

Another added: ‘I saw a clip today with Biden on the view. He is wearing a pin with both the American and Ukrainian flag. He is a disgrace. Our president should wear only ONE flag, the American flag.’

The Democratic party has remained committed to supporting Ukraine since the nation was invaded by Russia in February 2022.

Showing his commitment to the Ukrainian cause, Biden urged Ukraine’s backers to stand firm in his final address to the U.N. General Assembly on Tuesday,

We cannot grow weary,’ he said. ‘We cannot look away.’

His appearance before the international body offered Biden one of his last high-profile opportunities as president to make the case to keep up robust support for Ukraine, which could be in doubt if former President Donald Trump defeats Vice President Kamala Harris in November.

During his appearance on The View, Biden slammed Trump as having no redeeming social value and indicated he’d like to squash him like a bug.

The president got a rock star welcome from the hosts, who fawned over him, and the audience, which gave him a standing ovation.

‘It’s like having one of the Beatles at the table,’ The View’s Sara Haines gushed.

Whoopi Goldberg praised the president repeatedly during his 30-minute appearance on the show.

‘You were my ride or die,’ she said. ‘Thank you for everything you have done in my lifetime.’

‘He’s a kissy guy,’ Joy Behar said. ‘i like that about him.’

When Biden first walked out to the sustained applause, Behar told him of the audience: ‘They love you.’

‘It’s always better when you’re leaving,’ Biden responded.

Biden also talked about his decision to leave the race and being blunt of his assessment of Trump.

‘I am at peace with my decision,’ Biden said of exiting the presidential race.

However, he had tough words for Trump, giving some of his harshest criticism to date of Republican presidential nominee.

‘There’s not a lot of social redeeming value there,’ Biden said of the former president. ‘He really does not – does not – believe in democracy.’

‘I’m not sure he even understands what he is doing,’ he added.

The president repeated his argument he could have beat Trump but decided ‘I love my country more’ – an argument he has used repeatedly as he described his decision to step down, which came amid pressure from his party to leave the race.

‘I never fully believed that assertions that somehow there was this overwhelming reluctance on my running again. I didn’t sense that,’ he said. ‘We were always within in range of beating this guy.’

‘I was confident. I would beat Trump,’ he said.

But Democrats, led by former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, believed Biden would lose and take the party down with him after his disastrous debate with Trump. Party leaders pressured him to step aside.

Biden laughed when the hosts of The View asked him about Pelosi.

‘Our relationship is fine,’ he said.

Biden, who beat Trump in the 2020 election, revealed the advice he gave Harris, describing her as a partner in his administration.

‘Be yourself. She’s smart as hell, number one. She’s tough,’ he said.

‘As vice president there wasn’t a single thing I did that she couldn’t do. I was able to delegate her responsibility from everything from foreign policy to domestic policy,’ he noted.

He was effusive in his praise of his vice president.

‘I just think she has the energy the intelligence the grits the stamina and she has the guts to do the right thing,’ he said of Harris.

Biden, 81, also seemed in disbelief about his age.

‘It’s hard for me to even say how old I am. Seriously. I give my word. It’s like holy god that can’t be right.’
